How To Capture & Send A Screenshot:

Using a PC:

  1. Press the Print Screen key on the right side of your keyboard (usually in the top row) when the screen is displaying what you want to take the screenshot of.
  2. Open up the program called "Paint" from Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories.
  3. Paste the screenshot into Paint by selecting Edit > Paste or pressing CTRL V on the keyboard.
  4. Crop the screenshot to show only the part of the screen that you want to be seen in the screenshot if desired.
  5. Save the image as a JPEG by going to File > Save As and selecting JPEG from the File Type drop-down. Make sure to save the file to a location you can retreive it from (the Desktop, for example).
  6. Find the ticket in the Support Portal (support.adperfect.com) that you want to attach the screenshot to or create a new ticket (Submit A Request) if needed.
  7. Attach the screenshot to the ticket by clicking the "Attach file >>" link in the "Attachment(s)" section at the bottom.

Using a Mac:

  1. Hold down the Shift Command and 4 keys on your keyboard. Your mouse cursor will turn into a crosshairs (like a plus symbol) with screen pixel coordinates.
  2. Click (and hold) the mouse on one corner of the part of the screen that you want to take a screenshot of, then drag diagonally to the other corner and release the mouse button.
  3. This will create a screenshot on your Desktop with the file name in the format: "Screen shot {Date Stamp} at {Time Stamp}.png" (for example, "Screen shot 2013-01-01 at 12.17.45 PM.png").
  4. Find the ticket in the Support Portal (support.adperfect.com) that you want to attach the screenshot to or create a new ticket (Submit A Request) if needed.
  5. Attach the screenshot to the ticket by clicking the "Attach file >>" link in the "Attachment(s)" section at the bottom.
